Without Illegals
Illegals are not legal. They have knowingly broken laws & avoided authorities in order to gain entrance illegally into the US. After crossing the border illegally, they live clandestine lives, work menial jobs, and often avoid sending their children to school.
An immigrant is a person who legally enters a nation from another, registers with authorities, and accepts all responsibilities inherent in being an honest, productive citizen.

There are many illegal immigrant groups in the USA, including Mexican, Russian, Chinese, Middle Eastern, and others. There are many legal immigrant groups in the USA including Mexican, Russian, Chinese, Middle Eastern, and others. Mexican illegals are a significant portion of all illegals in the US. Many Mexican illegals are hidden, supported, and given food and shelter by other illegal and legal immigrants. A portion of illegal immigrants are emboldened and empowered by a support network that flaunts to law. Thousands of illegals openly march in protest of the threat of deportation -- that is, the threat of being made to follow the law of the USA. Many demand US Constitutional rights & citizenship now and for "free" -- that is, without earning those rights and citizenship.
I have seen those marches of illegals.
I do not approve of illegals flaunting the law.

Have you noticed that north of the Rio Grand River there is more progress, economic development, industry, productivity, intellectual advance, advanced R & D in science, medicine, technology, and people have higher standards of living than south of the Rio Grand River?
Yes. I think it's something in the drinking water supply.
Yes. I think it's because people are different.
No, that's not true.
Yes. I think it's because in Canada & the US people are educated, ambitious, and work hard to advance.

Without illegals US schools could focus more upon teaching English and less upon pandering to Spanish-speaking children and parents.
Yes, since adults who work to become naturalized US citizens spend time learning English and the ways of America and want the same for their children.
Yes, living in a home with adults who are illegal sets a tone of desperation and hiding that instills fear of authority and English.
Yes, since the parents are predisposed to want the best education for their children.
Yes, since children of legal immigrants play and study with English-speaking classmates.

Without illegals many naturalized and native-born Americans would not fully appreciate how very fortunate they are to be a citizen of the USA. And how fortunate they are to live, work and be protected by all that has been fought for and won over the centuries.
Many Americans fail to understand how fortunate they are.
Many Americans don't understand that they are slowly losing their quality lifestyle.
Many Americans have little respect for the US.

Without illegals there would be about 20% fewer people in hospital emergency rooms waiting for services to be provided and paid for by your tax dollars, high medical insurance premiums, and medical payments. Yes, that is true.
Yes. I cannot believe that the US Congress is even considering the possibility of possibly handing US citizenship to illegals.

Without illegals there would be less crime since illegal aliens -- knowing they have broken laws -- feel more inclined to and less restrained from committing other crimes. This means they are more likely to steal, work low-level transient jobs, and live in bad neighborhoods. Yes, that is true.
Yes. I cannot believe that the US Congress is even considering the possibility of possibly handing US citizenship to illegals.

Without illegals the events of 9/11/2001 would not have happened.
True

Without illegals the US Congress might spend its time accomplishing something.
That is doubtful.

Arizona, May, 2010
Protestors demand repeal of the law requiring immigrants to be legal -- not illegal.  Protestors call Arizona's law racist.
